Cairo is one of the world\u2019s oldest ancient civilizations and there is fascination around every corner. The chances of unearthing something yet-to-be-discovered are probably higher here than anywhere else, but, in the meantime, here are some already discovered attractions to enjoy:<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: align=;\"><strong>Giza Pyramid Complex feat. The Sphinx<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1348\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1348\" style=\"width: 768px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1348\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.skybirdtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/pyramid.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.skybirdtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/pyramid.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.skybirdtravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/pyramid-300x188.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1348\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Giza Pyramid Complex features the three main pyramids, the famous Sphinx, cemeteries, and tombs.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>When people talk about wanting to see the pyramids at least once in their lifetime, these are the pyramids they are talking about. The Giza Pyramid Complex is located on the west side of the Nile, about 15 miles southwest from Cairo. Getting there can be arranged via private transfer, bus, or Uber (yes, Uber exists in Egypt and is recommended over expensive taxi services).<\/p>\n<p>Neither previously viewed photos or films can prepare one for the breathtaking sight of these magnificent structures, still standing powerfully in the skyline since 2580 B.C. The tallest of the three, the <strong>Great Pyramid of Giza<\/strong>, is the last surviving of the<strong> Seven Wonders of the Ancient World<\/strong>. It outlasted Turkey\u2019s Mausoleum at Halicarnassus by over 500 years. A few of the most popular are located within three miles from one another. It is possible to create a self-guided walking tour that includes the <strong>Great Mosque of Mohammed Ali<\/strong>, the <strong>Ibn Tulun Mosque<\/strong>, and the\u00a0<strong>Al-Azhar Mosque<\/strong>. The Khan el-Khalili Market is one of the <strong>largest bazaars<\/strong> in the Middle East and is packed with traditional items crafted by Egyptian artisans. This is the place you\u2019ll find the most <strong>authentic souvenirs<\/strong> and experience the true energy of an <strong>Arabic marketplace<\/strong>. If your clients really love to shop, consider dedicating a day in their itinerary to exploring the Khan el-Khalili Market. Between hundreds of shops and booths vending everything from clothing to stained glass lamps are scads of coffeehouses (including the Fishawi Coffeehouse mentioned in the paragraph above).
